Towersey Foundation has a special school project and a community
based project in progress, and is currently fundraising for a further

Mayfield School, Torquay - in
progress
Mayfield
School is an all age [2-19years] school for pupils with severe and
profound life-limiting conditions. They moved into their present
building in 2002 and are fortunate enough to have purpose built
provision which includes sensory and soft play rooms, a hydrotherapy
pool, specialist curriculum classrooms and spacious grounds which
are currently being developed. This part time appointment (2 days
per week) re-commenced in April 2008. We are grateful to the following

Dove House Hospice, Hull - fundraising
Dove
House Hospice exists to provide a range of specialist services for
people with a life limiting illness and those who care about them,
in order to maintain and enhance their quality of life. This is
to be a full time appointment.
Music
on Wheels (Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire) - in progress
The
new ‘Music on Wheels’ (MOW) pilot project aims to improve
the social, emotional and spiritual care of children and their families
& carers by providing community music therapy in the counties
of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The MOW project presents an opportunity
for the music therapy service to be very efficient because many
of the children who use the local Pasque Hospice attend the same
special school. This part time appointment (4 days per week) re-commenced
in February 2008. We are grateful to the following funders for their

Trust, and IBC Vehicles Ltd.
Hospice
In The Weald, Pembury - fundraising
Hospice
in the Weald was established in 1980 as a home care service. In
1998 a purpose built hospice was opened at Pembury. In addition
to its 17 bedded In-Patient unit, it provides a Day Therapy Centre
offering a whole range of treatments and complementary therapies.
The Hospice also provides excellent community nursing with 24-hour
telephone support. The specialist palliative care nursing and medical
services are backed up with family support and bereavement counsellors
and health information services run from Sevenoaks Hospital and
the Hospice at Pembury. The Hospice serves an area of 400 square
miles in West Kent and East Sussex with approximately 280,000 population.
This is to be a part time appointment (3 days per week).
Rainbows Childrens Hospice,
Loughborough - fundraising
Rainbows
Children’s Hospice is located in Loughborough, Leicestershire
on the edge of the Charnwood Forest. They are the children’s
hospice for the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. They provide
respite, palliative and terminal care to families that include a
child with a life limiting illness. This is to be a part time appointment
(3 days per week).
