‘Charity Musical Evening - 26th April 2008’.
We are very grateful to Harpenden Lions Club for organising a concert in support of the ‘Music on Wheels’ project. This sell-out event, played to a capacity audience of 120 in the Great Drawing Room of Rothamsted Manor, Harpenden, and raised just over £450.

‘The Bee Hatchers - Charity Gig’.
The Trustees are very grateful to The Bee Hatchers for choosing the Foundation as the beneficiary and arranging such a successful gig on 19th July at Bush Hall, Shepherd's Bush. An impressive amount of £933 was raised for our new project at Rainbows Children’s Hospice.

‘Riviera Concert Brass - 10th September 2008’.
Due to the kindness of Clennon Management a concert by the Riviera Brass Ensemble was held at The Priory in Abbotskerswell on 10th September 2008. The Trustees of the Towersey Foundation are grateful to the members of the ensemble for giving their time for this concert during their very busy schedule for the year.

‘St David’s Singers - 13th September 2008’.
We are very grateful to the St David’s Singers for providing a superb concert in Exeter. The programme included works by de Victoria, Rutter, Vaughan Williams, Mozart and Brahms. There was a raffle held during the evening and a modest profit was made thanks to the generosity of all who attended.

‘Antiques Quiz Evening - 30th January 2009’.
A most interesting Antiques Quiz was held at Colehayes Park in Bovey Tracey. The antiques were supplied by Bearnes, Hampton & Littlewood of Exeter. The Panelled Hall of Colehayes Park was an attractive setting for the various items on display and guests were invited to circulate with a glass of wine while completing their quiz sheet. After a delicious supper everyone gathered round a large log fire while Christopher Hampton and his colleague Nick Saintey revealed the identity of the mystery objects and explained their use. All the tickets for this popular event had been sold and some excellent prizes were generously donated for the raffle.

The fantastic sum of £900 was raised for the continuing work of the Towersey Foundation.

‘Flora London Marathon 2009 - 26th April 2009’, Jane Robson completed the marathon in 4 hours, 25 minutes and 39 seconds - well done Jane!. Please visit the fund-raising page to see the total amount raised: http://www.justgiving.com/towerseylondonmarathon

‘Orchid Paradise - 9th & 10th May 2009, 10:00am to 4:00pm’, our thanks go to Burnham Nurseries for allowing the Foundation to be involved with the Chelsea Preview. All who visited over the weekend commented on how impressive the display was. Hot drinks, a selection of home made cakes and locally made pasties were served to raise funds for the charity. An approximate total of £300 was raised.

‘Music for the month of May - 16th May 2009, 7:30pm’, we are very grateful to Harpenden Lions Club for holding another of its series of popular charity music events, ‘Music for the Month of May’ at Rothamsted Manor, Harpenden. The audience of 100, which filled the attractive Great Drawing Room, was entertained by students from the locally-based Purcell School which is one of the country’s leading specialist music schools. The varied programme included pieces for piano, oboe, French horn and piano as well as voice.

‘Claire-Over the Edge! - 15th August 2009, 3:00pm’, 12 people conquered their fears and abseiled at Chudleigh Rocks, 6 raising funds for the Foundation. Total raised to date is £370 - well done, Claire and the team!

‘ExeVox, St Andrew's Church, Ipplepen - 8th May 2010, 7:30pm’, ExeVox is an award winning chamber choir based in Exeter which performs unaccompanied music spanning many languages, periods, genres, composers and countries. The founder and director, Peter Adcock, provided the audience with a rich mixture from Renaissance through Classical masterpieces, Spirituals and finishing with the more modern 'Once in a while' and 'Autumn leaves'. It was a truly memorable occasion. The Towersey Foundation was delighted that the evening was for it's benefit as music is at the centre if it's work and ethos. Finally the thanks of the Foundation goes to the Rev. Ian Eglin who allowed us the use of his church.
