How does it work?

The Permanent Beauty microdermabrasion system is one of the most advanced on the market and works by delivering a fine flow of peeling crystals onto the skin surface. These crystals gently slough away dead skin cells layer by layer. The dead cells and crystals are then removed leaving the skin glowing and revitalised.

Over a course of treatment the microdermabrasion will stimulate the cells within the skin that produce collagen and elastin. This improves the radiancy and tightness of the skin, improving enlarged pores, fine lines and giving a more uniform complexion.

How is the treatment performed?

The skin is thoroughly cleansed and toned and then the microdermabrasion wand is gently moved over the skin. This removes the top layers of dead skin, leaving the skin feeling smoother and refreshed. A prescriptive treatment masque may then be applied. You will have the chance to relax while the masque does it work. It will then be removed, followed by toning and moisturising.

What are the after effects?

The skin may be slightly red for a few hours. However, most patients experience no after effects except a very smooth and refreshed complexion.

What happens after the treatment?

You may feel a warm, glowing sensation. Tightening of the skin and a improvement in the complexion should increase over a 24 hour period, building up with each treatment and lasting between treatments.

How many treatments are required?

Treatments are carried out every 2-3 weeks and 6 treatments are usually recommended initially. Thereafter, top up sessions may be performed as necessary.
