What are they?
Injections which fill out lines and wrinkles, sunken cheeks and weak chins.
Timings
Treatment takes 30-60 minutes and lasts approximately 6 months.
What are they?
Skin starts to sag and wrinkle naturally with age, as underlying fat and collagen diminishes. Injecting dermal fillers into the skin plumps it up, makes it firmer and smoothes out lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers, for example Resylane, may be based on hylauraonic acid, a naturally occurring substance widely used in medicine.
What Dermal Fillers do
They are frequently used to fill out the lips, dermal fillers are also successful in treating wrinkles around the lips, nose and mouth, and lines on the cheeks and forehead.
What happens during treatment?
As with any cosmetic treatment only consult a qualified practitioner. The face is numbed with a local anaesthetic cream, filler is applied under the skin with a series of small injections which is a mildly uncomfortable process, with injections close to the lip of nose being more uncomfortable.
Treatment takes up to an hour and many people go straight back to normal dialy life afterwards. There may be mild bruising or redness which will disappear in a few days.
Results
The results are visible immediately with the full effect showing once swelling and bruising has subsided.
